We had a very relaxing and low key July 4th weekend. Mostly because Mommy didn't realize that the festivities downtown were really on Saturday, July 3rd and not on the actual 4th. Who knew?!?!
Anyway, one thing we did do was take Shaina to a Greensboro institution known as "Yum-Yum's" Ice Cream. I have memories going as a little kid and getting sherbert with my family. It is an Ice Cream place that has been around forever and still sells Cokes and Cheerwine in glass bottles. It was fun to see her enjoy a great big chocolate ice cream cone dripping all over the place. She didn't quite finish the whole thing, but had fun nonetheless!
And Mira, well, we'll just have to take her next year when she can join in the fun!
