Being ONE is so much FUN

Mira turned ONE this weekend! Grandma and Grandpa came in town to help celebrate and we had a great weekend. The weather was gorgeous AND it was the Jewish holiday of Purim, so we had many reasons to be happy!

Grandma and Grandpa gave the girls a beautiful doll house. It is so extravagant and came complete with furniture, dolls, and even a mini-van that jams out to music, just like ours! Shaina really loves to play with it and I know as Mira gets older she will love it, too.

Sunday morning we went to the Synagogue's Purim carnival. Purim is the holiday where you can dress up, so Shaina went as a ladybug and Mira went as the "birthday girl." That afternoon we had a party with some of our friends in Mira's playgroup as well as some family friends and family that reside in Greensboro. We had desserts and snacks and it was laid back and sweet, just like our Mira-boo.

Mira smashed her smash cake and enjoyed every minute of that chocolatey mess. She had never had chocolate or sweets before, so this was a fun surprise for her.

I can't believe our little Mira is one! She weighs a little over 18.5 lbs, has 3 teeth (two bottom and one top) and is starting to say "hi," "uh oh," "woof woof," and some others. She points to everything that she wants. She is happiest when you hold her hands and walk. She just wants to walk everywhere. When she wants to stop, she'll let go and plop herself down to play.

This past year has just been complete happiness watching Mira grow. She is the sweetest, happiest little girl and we are so lucky to have her in our family. We can't wait to see what the future holds for our blue eyed, smiley one year old!
