Some of us idolized the Beatles. Some of us idolize Billy Joel. Some of us idolized Backstreet Boys. Shaina Yael Luft idolizes a local kids band called Big Bang Boom. The lead singer happens to be a parent at B'nai Shalom where Shaina attends school, so we like to think we know the band a little better than the average person. So when Chuck (the lead singer) was handing out hot dogs at a school lunch one day, Shaina got SO excited. Her teacher, Ms. Ryann, knows how much Shaina loves the band and told Chuck and he proceeded to sit down with her while she ate her snack. We haven't stopped hearing about it.
A few weeks ago we went to a music fundraiser and Big Bang Boom was playing. Our girl did not leave the dance floor. There was even one song when Chuck ran around with her while singing and playing the guitar. She was completely star struck.
And happy little Mira enjoyed the music and danced her heart away, too.
