Now that the weather has gotten nice and warm, we have been able to do one of our favorite things: play at the park. We go to our favorite parks around town and then we like to explore new parks. April 15th was Poppy's birthday, so we packed a picnic lunch and drove to Salisbury to go to
Dan Nichols Park. They have a carousel, which we rode about 15 thousand times, a little zoo, gem mining, a train ride, and more! It was perfect weather and we had the best day. We hope Poppy enjoyed his day too!

The last weekend in April, we went to cousin Mindy's wedding. I was a witness and signed the Ketubah which was a great honor. Fun times!!!

I went strawberry picking with Shaina's preschool, too! The strawberry farm also has a barn where you can pet animals. It was so much fun!!
We went to the Asheboro Zoo with some friends from Raleigh. It was HOT, but fun!

Mother's Day was also a perfect day. Ryan and the girls went to pick up breakfast and brought it home to me. The girls showered me with cards, homemade gifts (which are the BEST), and hugs and kisses. We walked to one of our neighborhood parks which Shaina has nick named "See Saw park" because there are two big see saws. It was a beautiful morning for a walk and to play outside. There is a small lake nearby and we saw two family of ducks with their ducklings crossing the lake. As we walked, I found a $20 bill! Pretty great start to Mother's Day, huh? We then ate lunch outside in our backyard, had a nap, then went to high point to City Lake Park where we had the chance to ride another carousel and one train ride. Then it rained and we decided to just go back to GG and Poppy's house for a delicious Middle Eastern dinner, which has become tradition on Mother's Day. I am so thankful and lucky to have such a wonderful family.
